How to play
Select a piece and then select where you want to move. You can start a new
game, navigate through the game (first, previous, next, last), force the chess
engine opponent (if any) to move and rotate the board.
3D navigation
- Up, Down, Left, Right - move the camera
- +(plus) and -(minus) - zooming in/out (move the camera closer toward or
farther away from the model)
- ,(comma) and .(period) - rotate the camera to left/right
- use the mouse to rotate the model by dragging it
- use the mouse wheel to zoom in/out
Speech recognition
The application recognizes the toolbar commands ("new", "first", "previous",
"next", "last", "move", "rotate") and select square commands ("select square"
e.g. to move a piece from b1 to c3 you will say "select b1" and then "select
c3"). You can enable/disable speech recognition by clicking the label.
Game settings
The game can be played in two-player mode (i.e. no chess engine opponent),
or against a chess engine exposed as a web service. The difficulty level for the chess engine can be adjusted.
